Highly recommended. The food was delicious, very well prepared, and excellent quality. Jose Antonio and Norma looked after us, and the service was impeccable. They were attentive throughout. We’ll definitely be back.

What a feast! What a treat! It had been a long time since I’d felt so good about paying such a hefty bill, but it was truly worth it. The first surprise was the cockles: the biggest I’ve ever eaten, so large we had to spear them with a fork. They were also fresh, perfectly cleaned and beautifully cooked. Next came some smaller, more ordinary scallops: very good, but not outstanding. Then came the luxury of the day. It was spider crab season and it was very reasonably priced, so we went for a prepared spider crab, a sizeable one too. As an Italian would say, mamma mia! What a delicious treat! To finish, we each ordered a fish dish: sole meunière and hake cheeks in pil-pil sauce. Both were exquisite, but the hake cheeks were so delicious they brought tears to our eyes. With drinks and a bottle of Godello, the bill came to around €110 per person, but when you enjoy a meal this much, the price is the least of your worries.

We came on a recommendation, and what a great recommendation it was! Top-quality ingredients, especially the way the hake cheeks were prepared. José Antonio looked after us and made me a fantastic coffee with cream liqueur. 100% recommend.

We’ve been visiting Santander for many years and have eaten at plenty of restaurants. For me, this is the best in the city. Whatever you order, whether goose barnacles, spider crab or shrimp, it’s always cooked to perfection and of excellent quality. The fish and seafood soup, one of my favorite dishes, is superb here, with its intense flavor and generous chunks of fish, clams and seafood. A sure bet, with excellent service too.

Authenticity, fresh ingredients, and a wonderful atmosphere. It’s hard to go wrong in northern Spain, but this restaurant was a huge surprise. My recommendations: - LANGOSTINOS A LA MULATA (A MUST-TRY) - CARPACCIO A LA MULATA - PRAWN TIRADITO - SCRAMBLED EGGS WITH WHITEBAIT - SCALLOPS All paired with a good wine. The wine list has plenty of options, both red and white. The place is wonderfully authentic, a true old-school Santander spot, and the staff are lovely. I’ll definitely be back.

Best eating experience! The paella, scallops, calamari, wine, everything was perfect. 10/10 service and the place has a quiet terrace. We arrived early (8-9ish) so there was no need for a reservation then. Inside is it very clean as well. The prices are a bit more expensive than in other places, but completely justified.

We had an amazing time at La Mulata, one of the best seafood meals we have had in Santander during our stay. Service was welcoming and friendly even though my husband and I don’t speak Spanish. We ordered a portion of razor clams which was excellently cooked. The spider crab pudding appetizer was delicious and great with crunchy toasts. We shared a grilled sea bass and seafood paella. The sea bass was well cooked with all bones removed carefully. We were stuffed by the paella which was filled with plenty of seafood. Portion was generous and worth every penny. Highly recommending this restaurant if you are looking for a decent yet worthwhile dining experience in Santander. Remember to make your bookings in advance as it was full when we were there on a Sunday night.

We had such a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The staff was super friendly, and Micaela in particular took the time to help us with all our questions since we don’t speak Spanish. The starter was absolutely amazing (see photo). Next time we’ll be back for the Paella! 😃

If you want excellent seafood and refined, professional service, this is your place. Have had both tapas and dinner here (twice) and the preparation of fish and shellfish dishes was always perfect. Good wine list with reasonable prices. Friendly, well-informed staff. The fish was so fresh and artfully prepared that it felt like it came straight from the deck of the boat to the oven to our table. Recommended.

We only had paella which we liked a lot. The service was great, very attentive personal, but it wasn’t a busy night . Simple looking and clean restaurant.
